With a local cast of 25 plus middle school girls and boys, I very much enjoyed directing THE MONSTROSITY on location in the Santa Ynez Valley, my hometown. Follow Milly in her first day of school at George Adams Middle School as she tries to survive the untimely arrival of her first HUGE zit.
The official jury prize winner of Los Angeles Magazine’s “Get LA” competition, this video marks the beginning of my filmmaking aspirations. Not sure where my love of film will take me, but to quote the wise Prius Pearl – “No matter what happens, you sure are a lucky gal.” I hope you enjoy watching this short as much as I enjoyed making it.
Originally performed live by dancer Alison Rootberg, and musician Drew Broadrick, “Ophelia” based on the Shakespeare character, explores the character’s psyche through song and dance. I was later asked to adapted Ophelia into a dance film to be screened at Alison’s alma mater University of Wisconsin. Being a former ballet, jazz and modern dancer I was thrilled at the chance to tell a story through movement and symbolism. The DP, Samrod Shenassa and I found a beautiful location in the hills of Malibu. We shot there, in a dance studio with a white back drop and in my bathroom. The bathroom shots were very inspired by one of my favorite music videos, Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance”.

I started 2009 off right with an amazing road trip up historic Route 66 with a group of talented gals. We loaded up our photography and film gear and hit the road. Thousands of miles and dozens of double shot lattes later we ended up with a ton of amazing photos and footage. We still haven’t decided what to do with the media we shot, but if you want to view my photos of the trip scroll down and you will find links to a couple of my online albums.

As some of you may know my brother Jonathan Price is an amazing artist and graphic designer. I approached him in January 2009 to help me design a business card for my newly formed YouTube channel LifeWithBabs.
I sent him photos and asked him to design something that looks girly and homemade. He came up with this fab design and I’ve been using it ever since.
For my birthday my father-in-law bought me a DigiLife DDV-5120A. I have yet to find something as cool as this little guy as it had a flip screen so I could view what I was shooting even when the camera lens was pointed at me.
The first day I started using this camera l played around with some of the settings and made three short experimental flims. To view all of them visit Trina Posey on YouTube where I post my art and experimental videos.
