I recently did a collab with the awesome Turkish technology review channel, iPhonedo on YouTube. And since the video posted last week the awesome peeps of iPhonedo have been arriving on my channel SuperCaliListic. So cool. One tiny setback…I don’t speak Turkish. Yakınlarda, YouTube’dan iPhonedo isimli harika bir Türk teknoloji kanalı ile çalıştım. Geçen hafta video yayınlandığından beri, iPhonedo izleyen harika insanlar benim SuperCaliListic isimli kanalıma uğramaya başladılar. Ne güzel. Bir tek minik problem var ben Türkçe bilmiyorum. Often when I walk up or down stairs I find myself thinking about scenes from an Alfred Hithcock film or M.C. Escher’s “House of Stairs”. Tuesday as I walked up this particular set of stairs I decided to film the experience. Click to watch:

The grandparents are in town so Jesse and I decided to go to his office to do our taxes. Let’s just say I’m hard at work. Hard at work analyzing how my sweater makes me look like a matronly librarian type while I spin around the room. Let’s just say I’m not the paperwork type and I’m avoiding my very intricate receipt filing system. Which consists of wading up all my paperwork into a tiny little box and then sorting each meaningless scrap the day before my taxes are due.

It’s month 5 and time to reenter my cyber life one short vlog at a time. This week Baby Deco gets his first look at iMovie and I do some tummy time and rolls with him. It’s a meet in the middle kinda thing. Click to watch!

This past weekend Jesse, BOB, Domino and I drove up the coast to my home town, the Santa Ynez Valley. Check out footage from my girlfriend’s baby shower (she’s due August 29, only ONE day from me!) and of the beautiful HWY 101 coastline.

Between allergies and a characteristically weak immune system I have spent a good part of my life sick in bed. Although I find it to be miserable, apparently I also find it to be entertaining, as I have shot some of my favorite videos with a “sick” theme.

It all started with this photography film shot to Shel Silverstein’s poem “Sick”:

And then this week again, instead of taking a sick day on my main channel SuperCaliListic I decided to make fun of my horrible cold and “unidentifiable face rash”:

I originally shot a short film called “Skyview Motel” last spring. After spending some time editing, though, I decided to add to the story and shoot one more scene. In this week’s SuperCali video I take my viewers on set with actress Susanna Musotto and DP Samrod Shenassa:

Last year director Evan Nicholas asked me to act in his short film “Another Fool”. This week he sent me a link to the final product. It’s fun to see something I worked on over a year ago come to life. Check it out:
