North Bound posted by on November 4, 2013

I’ve been organizing a lot of video files recently and I found this gem today. Living in southern California I have developed a fascination of the freeway overpasses. I filmed this one when driving in Los Angeles from the north bound 110 onto the north bound 101. I kept the sound file as a news program covering life in Syria happened to be on the radio as I was recording. Every time I hear about Syria the situation seems to get worse instead of getting better. Sending my love to the beautiful people of that beautiful country. I’ve never been there but hope to see it some day.

Halloween Misery posted by on October 31, 2013

When both Jesse and Deco managed to break limbs (toe and leg respectively) the week before Halloween it only seemed fitting to dress up as one of fiction’s creepiest nurses – Annie Wilkes from Stephen King’s MISERY‚Ķ

New Mommy Cam posted by on October 15, 2013

I’ve been cruising with the iPhone 4s for quite some time now, or I should say over two years and time to upgrade baby! So Deco, Jesse Legs and I took a stroll to the Apple store and I walked out with a beautiful white and silver number (blue leather case – Jesse’s pick – for interested parties). And staying true to my camera whore ways I of course documented the whole thing on video. First with my iPhone 4s and then with my iPhone 5s. For a very informative video review of course, not as a thinly veiled excuse to shoot a sparkly vid for my YouTube channel SuperCaliListic…

Black Halo for Press Night posted by on October 8, 2013

My friend Rachel Koo is a designer for the very hip label Black Halo. And this week she invited me to come and shop their sample dresses. With Press Night for American Psycho around the corner it was perfect timing. Despite my tired mommy shenanigans, this video has a high sparkle factor as I get to visit the label’s downtown hub and try on some stunning dresses.

Sexy Legs Jesse posted by on September 24, 2013

The other day Deco was napping, the dishes were done, the laundry was folded AND there was still lots of daylight. So of course, I sat down to my favorite past time – firing up iMovie for video log 236 and counting. Some might say I have a problem, but I like to think of it as a much needed creative outlet for this overworked mommy and aspiring filmmaker. But just as I sat down to ramble about God knows what, Jesse wandered into my shot and unwittingly became my Super Cali subject. I think you’ll agree after watching this video that I’m right in wanting him and his sexy legs to be in more of my Super Cali vids. For those of you just coming to the party, Jesse and I have a very strict agreement that I can film him, but only from the waist down. Click and subscribe to my YouTube channel SuperCaliListic to get a regular dose of Super Cali Sparkle in your life. Keep it real peeps!

A Moment of Wind posted by on September 10, 2013

I don’t have a lot of time to shoot now that I’ve got baby full time. But once in a while I try to grab the fascination of the moment with whatever camera I have handy. On this particular day the wind was dancing through the trees as Deco crawled around on his baby blanket. Enjoy.

Back It Up Pearl posted by on August 6, 2013

I’ve had my precious Prius Pearl since 2007 and all these years I’ve been obsessed with the back up camera. So much so that after wrapping my short film “Pearl” DP Jen May and I decided to drive down the Hollywood Hills in reverse and attempt to shoot the back up camera screen with her 5D. We covered the 5D with black cardboard and here is the result. The footage did not make it into the film (often what I find aesthetically pleasing is apparently NOT. As I am often reminded by my producer husband), but it’s fun to finally look at the footage and share it with anyone out there that has a similar obsession with their back up camera…anybody… I think it’s probably time to get a wide angle lens and start shooting with it instead of fantasizing about driving around in reverse while I shoot the screen in my car.

My YouTube obsession started with a crazy girl named Andie Mills and her adventures with BFF Babs Darling.

Fast forward a few years and I’m still striking a pose, only the casting has changed to my beautiful baby boy, Deco. Shh! Don’t tell Babs, she’d die of jealously.

Very excited to share that last Friday hubby’s kickstarter campaign for American Psycho funded with only hours to spare. And I just had to give a big shout out to all the people that helped this project get funding. You know who you are and if you happen to find this blog post – This one is for you! Hope to see you in December. Cheers!
